Informing Perception with Photo

By understanding fashion, Nyari connects with the collective unconscious. Photographs influence magazine viewers’ self-perception and aesthetic preferences. During a 2014 interview with Dodho Magazine, Nyari discusses the photographers who have guided her artistic style. One artist who left a powerful impression on Nyari’s artistic vision was Helmut Newton, a Jewish German-Australian photographer. Newton’s photographs gained significant recognition and popularity because of their unique blend of erotic and urban aesthetics. He played a role in making fashion beauty look popular.
