Cristina Chelaru

About the author:
Cristina was born in 1970s Romania—a world of vinyl records, very questionable wallpaper and state-sanctioned silence. Behind the Iron Curtain, the censored eroticism came wrapped in metaphor, and every image or word had a double meaning.

Now based in Portugal, Cristina blends her background in film and audiovisual communication studies with a lifelong passion for vintage erotic art, taboo-bending B&W photography and edgy fashion.

Also, she’s into visual and decorative arts, indie literature, Drag TV shows, jewelry design, collectible antique oddities, and anything controversial enough to still raise eyebrows. Her motto? If it’s bold, bizarre, or banned somewhere—it’s worth a closer look.
