Loviante crafts haunting visions where elegance and dominance intertwine. In stark black and white, his Deco-tinged worlds shimmer with cold sophistication, ruled by distant, imperious women. Men and women, reduced to fragile ornaments, exist only to serve—displayed, restrained, and utterly powerless.
Unsettling Allure
Ingenious, almost theatrical contraptions echo strange mechanical fantasies, heightening the tension between beauty and control. His compositions pull the eye inward, each scene breathing with uncanny depth. Alongside Sardax, he stands as a defining voice in BDSM art, blending grotesque realism with a mesmerizing, unsettling allure that lingers long after viewing.
In short, I felt it was high time to put the elusive "slave" aesthete on the rack (pun intended) and find out what makes him tick....

1) What can you tell about your background (family, youth, education, ...etc)?
I would say I had a completely normal life in a large city in Central-Eastern Europe, nothing particularly special about it. Even though I had good grades, when I was young I wasn’t very interested in school itself. Instead, I spent a lot of my time drawing, ever since I was a child. Later I attended an art high school and then an art university, because it seemed to me that this was what I enjoyed the most.
After graduating, there was a very long period during which, even though I was still working in the visual field, I stopped drawing altogether. That break lasted for more than twenty years. Around 2021 I returned to my old passion - drawing - this time being more attracted to erotic illustration.

2) What does your work process look like? Do you work with live models, photos or from memory?
Because I had drawn so much and with so much passion earlier in life, I have a solid understanding of artistic anatomy, so drawing from imagination, occasionally using photographs as reference, was never really a problem. To be honest, I’ve never really tried to analyze the “whys” or “hows” of my creative process, which is why it’s difficult for me to answer questions like what inspired a specific piece or why I did something in a certain way. Everything I do is very instinctive, without any predefined method.

3) Can you elaborate on the aesthetics in your art, such as the often long, narrow vertical format, monochrome color palette, hyper-realism, elongated figures...etc.?
Because of that long pause from drawing I mentioned earlier, I never developed a very distinct personal visual style. I simply knew how to translate the images I had in my mind into drawings. That made me feel the need to introduce something distinctive on a conceptual level - an unusual approach, a particular universe, a world of seemingly endless possibilities for fetish enthusiasts.
That’s how the elements of restraint, costumes, unusual scenes, and dystopian urban settings, etc. began to appear. My passion for photography pushed me toward representing this world in black and white, with a certain approach to lighting and expressive characters whose faces I draw entirely from imagination.

4) You produce both maledom and femdom fantasies in roughly equal measure. Do you have a preference for one or the other? If so, why?
Although personally I tend to prefer male-dominated interactions, there are periods when femdom illustrations dominate my work. I find something visually exciting about that dynamic. I think it may have something to do with the many contrasts and contradictions that exist within this fictional universe. In that context, femdom seems to support the dystopian atmosphere more strongly, because culturally you might expect the opposite.

5) Who and/or what are your main influences?
The question about artistic influences comes up all the time, and I can never really answer it. I’ve consumed so many images, paintings, films, books, and music over the years that everything has blended together and settled into something instinctive. If I absolutely had to mention a few preferences, I could throw in some names like Edward Hopper, the Safdie brothers, or Rachmaninoff, but they’re only loosely indicative. When I work, I’m not consciously referencing anything specific, I just go with the flow.
People often ask me, after seeing a piece, what inspired it. But I think the inspiration for my work comes more from my understanding of this universe itself, sometimes triggered by something very ordinary I notice in everyday life. It could be anything - a scene from a film, a photograph, something I see on the street, or even a simple object. I then reinterpret it in a strange way and find a place for it inside this fictional universe.

6) How did you come into contact with erotic (fetish) art and why did you choose this genre to express yourself?
I chose to shape this entire mix of experiences toward fetish art because I’m drawn to the BDSM space. Some people might see that as frivolous, but that doesn’t concern me very much. My attitude is simply: I do what I want and I wanna to be left alone to do it. I’m not even trying to provoke specific reactions, first of all, the work has to satisfy me. That said, I’ve noticed that large numbers of people appreciate and identify with what I create, and that gives me the energy to continue. Were it not for this, I would likely produce fewer pieces of work, because, to be honest, the financial return is pretty small, and I have lots of other obligations in my life. You can’t really make a living from this, at least I haven’t yet managed to.

7) Are you familiar with shunga? If so, what are your thoughts about this art form?
Yes, I’m familiar with Shunga and I find it very interesting, even though stylistically it’s very far from what I do. At least for now it is. My style will probably continue to evolve over time, although it’s hard to say how. Recently it has become increasingly difficult to be an erotic illustrator, it seems like more and more obstacles appear. But we’ll see how things develop. Perhaps the future isn’t as bleak as it sometimes seems.
