Easy Living
Javier Mayoral is a lucky example of a person who nowadays makes a living with their hobby. Yet, things weren't always that good as Mayoral had to try several jobs before making his "insignificant" creative activity the only source of income. The artist was born in Spain in 1961. His educational background is unknown. Some sources label him as a self-taught artist, yet there's info on the web that he used to work for a local advertising company, which probably influenced his hobby. At the age of 28, he moved to the USA and changed several locations: New York, Phoenix, San Francisco, and Miami, where he settled in 2004 and resides now with his spouse and three kids. After his arrival, Mayoral worked as a private chef on the islands near Miami and painted small pictures in his spare time. The results, uploaded to his Instagram account PulpBrother, started gaining more and more attention, so eventually, he could make money solely from his art. Mayoral is a prolific artist: his portfolio counts up to 10K works, and he regularly adds a new one. The official website also sells posters, T-shirts, and large canvas paintings. In 2024, the Arts Factory Gallery and Serious Publishing issued the first monograph on Javier Mayoral's work Easy Living with PulpBrother, featuring 250 color reproductions.

Don't Compete With Anyone
The approach of Mayoral lies between pop art and modern comic strips you may find in your feed, with sex as a constant element. Out of 150 images we've scrolled through, only two involve gay erotica, while lesbian affairs are depicted much more often.
