In order to not have all my art get repetitive, I wanted to branch out and try more scenarios. I’ve never done a shibari painting and decided to give it a try (in a painting).
Rope Handler
Most scenes always tend to have the rope handler and the tied up, but I thought it’d be fun to show a scene where we don’t even understand how the couple got into their predicament, nor how they can even get the movement going to continue having sex. This title took quite a bit of work to get it right. I had cloud metaphors and even tried rhyming couplets but in the end, this one seemed to work best:
Fig.1. "Amour was in the air and so were they, held aloft in the firmament’s warm embrace, ensconced in the floating world, while their passion rained down to the earthly realms below: a thrum of sweet she-cum and the pitter-patter of baby batter." (January 2024)
Lined Up Like Train Cars
For the noodle piece, I like how all three figures are using their mouths for different sensations. Overall, I like the tangle of the bodies, even if all three heads are a bit repetitious as they basically face the same way and are lined up like train cars. My wife loved the fact that the most realistically painted thing in this piece are the representations of fish (which within the world of the piece are the only things that are not real). This wasn’t done intentionally, but I’m happy with it regardless.
Fig.2. "Enamored, the libertine and her two libertine adjacent friends dedicated their evening to the pursuit of all things saucy (both udon and curry as well as erogenous licking and penetrative acts), as foreshadowed in her texted invite: cum for noodles and canoodles?" (January 2024)
