Football Comic Titles
Before entering the realm of comics, Caretta honed his craft as a freelance illustrator in fashion and advertising between 1986 and 1988. In 1989, he moved to Milan and joined the publishing house 3ntini, where he first explored the world of comic storytelling. Initially, he worked on skateboarding and football comic titles, as well as children’s comics, producing four books weekly to cater to the booming market. However, his true artistic breakthrough came when he delved into the world of erotic comics, becoming the master artist for the magazines Nuvola Bianca and Paprika.

Elevate Adult Comics
3ntini, founded in 1984 by Stefano Trentini, was pivotal in shaping the European erotic comic scene. With artists such as Luca Tarlazzi and Alessandro Dalla, the publishing house aimed to elevate adult comics to the artistic standards of figures like Tanino Liberatore and Milo Manara. Caretta’s contribution to this vision was significant, particularly with his work on the Selenium series, where he produced three albums of short stories. For some of these projects, he collaborated with talented colleagues like Tarlazzi and Vincenzo Silvestroni, further refining his storytelling and artistic approach.
