We obtained an extraordinary toy print (shikake-e) that was issued in the Meiji era (c.1875) produced by an anonymous artist. It’s actually one large shunga piece with a multitude of incomplete pictures which can be folded various ways to make complete shunga pictures, like a folding puzzle. When fully opened the size is 9” x 14” inches. It includes its original casing.
