Until recently this shunga print was attributed to Hokusai‘s daughter Katsushika Ōi (c.1800-c.1866) but there are strong indications that it is actually by the master himself.

Shunga print ‘Horny widow‘ from the series ‘Kurawa no tanoshimi‘ (c.1820s) by Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) (Available in our gallery for Euro 950,-)
The translation of the text in the image of this shunga print reads:
Widow: “It’s been a while since I’ve eaten this. Your meat was very delicious.”
Man: “Yes, sir. Me too, madame.”
Widow: “Once more, please.”
Man: “Sorry, sir. I can not do.
Widow: “Why? It’s really halfway done. Don’t make excuses. Next time, I get on your meat.”
Man: “I am dead tired, sir. I am useless. Please look at my stick. I can’t budge it anymore.
Widow: “Why not? It’s squishy, softly, limply. Like always, I canoodle your meat. I’m graving your plut pop. I want to get a drug. What will get you a boner?…..I’m horny.”
