Golden Rain Shower
An oracle prophesied that Acrisios, king of Argos, would be killed by his own grandson. So he locked his only daughter Danae in a tower. But Zeus, the father of the gods, came to Danae as a golden rain shower and fathered me the demigod Perseus. The ancient Greek myth was artistically recorded in ancient times and has been taken up again and again throughout art history.
Klimt and Titian
Gustav Klimt created one of the most famous interpretations in 1907/08. In his Danae, Alexander Sigov quotes the models of Klimt and Titian, but creates a new masterpiece of modern symbolism through his very own textures and colors. The limited graphic on real canvas with a stretcher frame is hand-signed, numbered and titled by the artist on the back.

Addictions to Multitasking
“Shaking, Cooking, Peeing” (fig.10), a hilarious mixture of color and confusion waged amid the clutter of a female’s kitchen. Through fits of confetti-dappled paint and urine, the pitiable figure convulses and gyrates as she attempts to prepare a meal, her long brown hair occluding her face from view. She remains anonymous, indicative of each of our contemporaneous addictions to multitasking." (Kara L. Rooney, The Brooklyn Rail)

Outside Toilet
The setting is Narumi, a post station on the Tokaido. Narumi's specialty is the tie-dyed fabric called Arimatsu Shibori. Arimatsu Shibiya's wife urinates in the outside toilet. "Ah, there's no better feeling than urinating that I've been holding back," she says, feeling a sense of relief. The accompanying text also includes a sound effect that reads ' pee~shi~ja'.

Translation of the woman's dialogue: ""Hey, taking such masculine piss makes me so hot! How's it going, buddy?"
Readable Style
"Behind the pseudonym Belore hides a young Spanish psychology graduate and professor in therapeutic pedagogy. He made his debut in comics in the early 1980s, with some stories published in Creepy and Comix Internacional magazines. In 1989, he left comics to devote himself to painting, but in 1991, when the erotic magazine Kiss Comix was founded, he returned to his passion: drawing comics acts to counter-balance his work as a professor. He created the character of Lolita, and many stories about her have appeared, in a pleasant, readable style." (Lambiek.net)

Fig.16. Kasa jizou (8 Dec 2020) by Pigo Lin
Supernatural Blessings
Lin's painting loosely refers to the story of Kasa jizou that recounts the selfless act of an old man in the snowy mountains of Japan. Determined to sell his wares despite a snowstorm, he encounters five Jizo statues along the way, moved by their apparent suffering. Sacrificing his earnings, he buys bamboo hats for them. Returning home empty-handed, his wife comforts him, and they celebrate New Year's with porridge. Yet, at midnight, they're awakened by a procession of Jizos bearing a gift of rice, a reward for the old man's kindness. This heartwarming tale reflects themes of compassion, generosity, and the belief in supernatural blessings. Kasa Jizo embodies the enduring spirit of Japanese folklore, reminding us of the profound impact of selflessness and empathy.
Remove Evil Ideas
We contacted the Taiwanese artist and asked him about the portrayal of the woman urinating on the Kasa jizou statue. He explained that the painting refers to Asian Buddhist monks or martial artists meditating under a waterfall, trying to remove evil ideas and clear their minds.

Testimonials:
"Just in case you thought this membership bonus was a bit of an empty come-on, allow me to recommend this copious benefit to you as a life-long seeker after the unusual in erotic art. This archive is huge, various, and would take you years of effort to research and curate by yourself. Shunga Gallery has done the work for you and rewards your marginal extra commitment (at a cheaper monthly price!) in excessive detail and quantity. The historical range of this erotic fixation is impressive as is the sometimes extreme nature of the images. I have never seen the great majority of the material assembled for you here." (Peter Fogarty - United Kingdom)
"Your Pee Museum is fantastic!! I can see a lot research went into it. Very interesting to see how the art of pissing was perceived in last few centuries both in Europe and outside Europe. Well done, Great initiative." (Marco P., United Kingdom)
"....the museum is a garden of golden delights..." (Anton K., United kingdom)
